Hydro Cleantech Startup Nabs $650K in Crowd Funding, Seeks $6M More

Portland-based Lucid Energy was the first U.S. investment for OurCrowd, a crowdfunding site created by Israeli venture capitalist Jonathan Medved. The company will use the funds to deploy its technology to generate hydroelectricity from water in underground municipal pipes and is seeking to raise an additional $6 million from investors.
