First Solar Acquires 150MW Solar Project, Solar Gen 2

First Solar, Inc. ( FSLR ) acquired California-based Solar Gen 2 power project from a subsidiary of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. ( GS ), Energy Power Partners and a third equity partner for the project.  Terms were not disclosed. Construction on the 150MW solar project, located in Imperial County, Calif., is expected to begin this year and be completed in 2014.  Sempra Energy’s San Diego Gas & Electric utility will buy power from Solar Gen 2 under a 25-year agreement
