In addition, rising energy prices and a reduction in feed-in tariffs are driving residential solar customers to consume more of their own power rather than sending it back to grid. Total funding into the wind sector was $3.5 billion in Q2 2013, with the IFC investing in the most deals this quarter with three. There was $210 million invested in four venture capital deals as compared to $16 million in three deals in Q1. There were 36 project acquisition transactions accounting for a disclosed total of $2.1 billion in Q2 and 53 total YTD, compared to 72 in all of 2012. And six M&A transactions in Q2 accounted for $328 million.
