Energy supplier NextEra Energy Resources’ Golden Winds LLC has raised $131 million from JPMorgan Chase for three wind farms in California, Bloomberg reports.
In addition, NextEra expects to receive an additional $78 million in early 2012 for projects that will generate 205.9 megawatts.
The California wind farms include the Montezuma II project in Solano County, the Vasco wind farm in Contra Costa County and the San Georgia project in Riverside County, Bloomberg says.
The investment allows JPMorgan to apply some of the projects’ credits to its own taxes, Bloomberg notes.
